You need to avail of the D or F trains to 47-50th Street/Rockefeller Center station. Alternatively you can take the E or M trains to 53rd Street station at Fifth Avenue.
  2. By BusYet another easy way to reach the MoMA is by bus. You can take the M1, M2, M3, M4, or M5 bus from the east side of Manhattan to 53rd Street. If you are coming from the western end of Manhattan, you have to reach 50th Street by taking the M50 crosstown bus. Once you get off, you can simply walk the rest of the three blocks to the museum on 53rd Street.
  3. By Car or Taxi If you are taking a taxi or driving down to the museum, you have to take the Queensboro (59 St.) Bridge and then continue down to Queens Blvd. (Rte. 25). It is well marked and once here, you need to turn right on Van Dam St., left on 47 Ave., and left again on 33 St. You will find that the entrance to the museum is on 33 St. between 47 Ave. and Queens Blvd.
  • Best Time to Visit:The best time to visit the MoMA is during the early morning when you will come across the least amount of crowds. You can also visit here during the later part of the afternoon when the footfall is not too significant either. Besides that, if you wish to enjoy a relatively quiet time here and avoid the peak hours, Sunday mornings are also a good time to visit.
